Controls
Control the high frequencies:
- Low → softer sound
- High → bright and punchy
- Adjust to match the tone to the pickup and mix
Controls mid frequencies:
- Low → scooped sound
- High → fuller and more present
- Affects punch and presence in the mix
Control the low frequencies:
- Low → more defined and tight
- High → full and full-bodied
- Ideal for 35–55% for a balanced sound
Controls the final brilliance and definition of the high frequencies:
- Low → soft sound
- High → brighter and sharper Modulates presence and attack in the mix
Controls the saturation and crunch of the preamp:
- Low → clean / light crunch
- High → overdrive and strong saturation
- Interacts with EQ → more gain = more natural compression
