Dyn Delay

Inspired by Pro Tools® AIR Dynamic Delay (Plug-in)

The Dyn Delay it's a delay with dynamic control (envelope) that reacts to your playing.

Main features:

  • Delay that changes according to the signal
  • Perfect for not kneading the mix
  • Ideal for intelligent rhythms and leads

“Smart” delay: adapts to you

SOUND CHARACTER

  • Clean and checked
  • Dynamic (follows guitar volume)
  • It can be subtle or very noticeable
  • Excellent live

The louder you play → the more the delay changes

Control Parameters

SyncY/N

Sync to BPM:

  • Y → musical divisions
  • N → milliseconds
Delayms / Picklist

Delay time:

  • 100–150 ms → slap
  • 300–500 ms → rhythmic
  • 600+ ms → ambient
Feedback%

Number of repetitions:

  • Low → few
  • High → many
Mix%

Amount of Delay:

  • Low → light
  • High → obvious
TailsY/N

Queue management:

  • Y → continue
  • N → immediate stop
StereoY/N

Enable stereo mode:

  • Y → stereo active
  • N → mono
Ratio%

L/R distribution:

  • 0% → center
  • positive → slower right side
  • negative → slower left side
  • Ping-pong effect
Width%

Stereo Width:

  • 0% → mono
  • 100% → ultra wide
Env 2 Feedback%

How much the feedback reacts to the signal:

  • Low → stable
  • High → feedback changes with dynamics

The louder you play → the more repetitions

Env 2 Mix%

How the mix reacts:

  • Low → constant delay
  • High → delay enters/exits dynamically

“Smart” delay

Env Ratesec

Dynamic response speed:

  • Low → fast reaction
  • High → slow reaction

Regulate “fluidity”

Low CutHz

Cut the bottoms:

  • 80–120 Hz → natural
  • 120–200 Hz → cleaner
High CutkHz

Cut the tops:

  • 4–6 kHz → warm
  • 6–8 kHz → brighter

Pro Tips

  • Want invisible delay → raise Env Mix
  • Want movement → raise Env Feedback
  • Want cleanliness → use Low Cut
  • Want vintage → lower High Cut

Universal setup:

  • Delay: 400 ms
  • Feedback: 35%
  • Mix: 30%
  • Env Mix: 50%
  • Env Rate: 0.5 sec
  • Low Cut: 120Hz
