Multi Delay

Inspired by HeadRush® Original

The Multi Delay is an advanced multi-tap delay with:

  • Until 4 independent taps
  • Complex routing between taps
  • Full stereo control
  • Advanced musical timing

It is HeadRush's most powerful delay and can act as a simple delay... or as an advanced sound design

SOUND CHARACTER

  • From clean and precise → to complex and rhythmic
  • Layered multiple delays
  • Rhythmic pattern capabilities
  • Very wide stereo image

Control Parameters

SyncY/N
  • Y → synchronized to BPM
  • N → milliseconds
Delayms / Picklist

Base delay time

Affects all taps (based on ratios)

Feedback%

Overall quantity of repetitions

Mix%

Amount of delay signal

TailsY/N
  • Y → continues after bypass
  • N → immediate stop
Character

Delay Color:

  • Neutral → clean
  • High Cut 8k → slightly dark
  • High Cut 4k → very hot
  • others → tonal variations

Fundamental to the mix

Tap Mode

Defines the relationship between taps:

  • Ratio 1/8 → classic
  • Ratio 1/6 → irregular pattern
  • others → polyrhythms

This is where the groove is born

Feedback L…routing

Determine where the feedback goes:

  • Tap4 → Input
  • Tap4 → Tap1
  • Tap4 → Tap2

etc.

Allows chains like:

  • delay that “bounces” between taps
  • complex effects
StereoY/N
  • Y → stereo active
  • N → mono
Tap1 / Tap2 / Tap3 / Tap4Y/N

Time division:

  • 1/8, 2/8, 3/8 etc.

Each tap has its own timing

Tap Pan%

Stereo position:

  • -100% → left
  • 0% → center
  • +100% → right

Essential for spatiality

Pro Tips

  • Want simple → use 2 taps
  • Want ambient → use 4 taps
  • Want to groove → use Tap Mode
  • You want stereo → use pan L/R

Universal setup:

  • Tap1: 1/8 (L -40%)
  • Tap2: 3/8 (R +40%)
  • Mix: 30%
  • Feedback: 35%
  • Character: High Cut 8k

Perfect live delay

For HUGE sound:

  • 4 active taps
