The Ring Modulator combines the guitar signal with an internal oscillator:
- Generate new frequencies
- Create metallic and “robotic” sounds
- It can be dissonant

- 10–20% → light
- 25–40% → noticeable
- 50%+ → dominant

- Medium → balanced

It is used to control harshness
