Headrush Pitch
Drop Tune
Inspired by Digitech® Drop
Effect designed to change the tuning in real time allows you to play in Drop D, C, B... without physically changing tuning.
GENERAL FUNCTION
Transforms the pitch of the entire signal in a global way
Maintains:
- fast tracking
- minimal latency
ideal for:
- live (immediate tuning change)
- modern metal/rock
- Simulated baritone guitars
Control Parameters
ModePitch Shift
Select how much to lower or raise the pitch
Typical values:
- −1: half a step down
- −2: 1 tone down
- −3: 1.5 tones
- −5: Drop C approx
- −7: Drop B
- +1 / +2: pitch up
Behavior:
- negative values → lower tunings
- positive values → higher
It completely changes the perceived tuning
Mix%
- Range: 0 – 100%
- Blend between original and pitched signal
Behavior
- 0%: dry
- 50%: double mix
- 100%: pitched signal only
Use:
- 100% → normal use (drop tuning)
- <100% → creative effects (double pitch)
LeveldB
- Typical range: −12 → +12 dB
- Output volume
Compensates for variations
ModeRefined / Legacy
select the type of algorithm
Refined
- modern algorithm
- more precise tracking
- fewer artifacts
recommended for:
- live
- clean sounds
Legacy
- older algorithm
- more “gritty” / digital
useful for:
- lo-fi effects
- particular sounds
Pro Tips
- the lower → the more possible artifacts
- complex chords → more difficult tracking
- mix <100% → chorus-like effect
Better:
- use well-tuned strings
- avoid excessively distorted sounds
Real live use:
- Mix = 100%
- Refined = ON
Trick:
- don't go lower than −5 if you want high quality
Quick Reference
- Modes: tuning interval
- Mix (%): blend
- Level (dB): volume
- Refined/Legacy: algorithm quality
