Spring Reverb

Inspired by Fender® Spring Reverb

The Spring Reverb emulates the spring reverbs of vintage amplifiers:

  • Fender blackface
  • 60s combo
  • Surf sound

Main features:

  • Typical “drip” attack
  • Bright and metallic sound
  • Lots of character

It is the most “amp-like” reverb

SOUND CHARACTER

  • Bright and vintage
  • Slightly “boing”
  • Not very realistic but very musical
  • Perfect for guitar

It's not ambient → it's character

Control Parameters

Queue duration:

  • 0.5–1.5 sec → short
  • 1.5–2.5 sec → medium
  • 3+ sec → long

In real springs it is always relatively short

  • 3–4 kHz → warm
  • 5–6 kHz → balanced

  • ON → softer and more diffuse

ON = less “boing”

  • 50% → light stereo
  • 100% → modern

Spring true = mono
