Headrush Rhythmic
Kill Seq
Inspired by HeadRush® Original
Rhythm sequencer / step modulator effect transforms the signal into rhythmic patterns (gate, tremolo, glitch)
GENERAL FUNCTION
Splits the signal into sequential steps
Each step can:
- activate/deactivate the sound
- modular parameters
Type effects:
- stutter
- trance gate
- rhythmic chopping
Control Parameters
PedalY/N
- ON → control the intensity with the pedal
- OFF → fixed effect
Style for live performance
Seq A/B/C/D
- rhythmic pattern
Each sequence contains ON/OFF steps
Mod Pattfor each Seq
- modulation pattern
Determines how the parameter varies over time
Function:
- creates variations between steps
- makes the pattern less static
Mod Effect
- type of modulation
Typically:
- volume (gate)
- filter
- pitch
Speed Mod
- modulation speed
Determines how fast the pattern changes
Attack%
Attack time:
- low: clean cut
- high: soft entry
Decay%
Sound duration
- bass: short/staccato
- tall: longer
Control the rhythmic “feel”.
VibOn / Off
- activate vibrato
Adds movement
Sync
- sync to BPM
BPM
- manual time
On Pluck
- activate sequence only when you play
Useful for dynamic control
Pro Tips
- Low attack → “hard” effect
- Low decay → very staccato
- complex patterns → risk of chaos
- Sync OFF → difficult to control live
Workflow:
- create basic pattern (Seq)
- add Mod Effect
- Attack/Decay rule
Quick Reference
- Seq A–D: patterns
- Patt Mod: variations
- Mod Effect: modulation type
- Speed Mod: speed
- Attack: entrance
- Decay: duration
- Vib: vibrated
- Sync/BPM: tempo
- Pedal: live control
