Panner
Headrush Vib / Trem / Rotary

Panner

Inspired by Avid® Panner (Eleven Rack)

Stereo auto-panning effect shifts the signal between:

  • left (L)
  • right (R)

rhythmically or continuously

GENERAL FUNCTION

Modulates stereo position over time.

Create:

  • movement
  • breadth
  • groove

Ideal for:

  • ambient
  • funk
  • electronics
  • live stereo

Control Parameters

SyncY/N
  • ON: synced to BPM
  • OFF: free speed (Hz)

Rate influence

RateHz / note value

Movement speed:

  • slow: large movement
  • medium: groove
  • fast: stereo tremolo

In Sync:

  • values like 1/4, 1/8, 1/16
L/R Pan%

Center stereo position:

  • 0%: center
  • negative: further to the left
  • positive: further to the right

Position offset

Delayµs

Delay between channels:

  • small → natural stereo
  • high → Haas effect (stereo width)

creates spatiality

Shape%

shape of the modulation wave:

  • low: smooth (sine)
  • medium: more defined
  • high: square (on/off)

Influences the “feel”

Depth%

amplitude of movement:

  • low: light
  • medium: evident
  • high: hard L/R

How far the sound travels

Pro Tips

  • High Depth → can be tiring to listen to
  • High delay → risk of mono problems
  • High shape → “cut” effect
  • Fast rate → similar to tremolo

For musical use:

  • Medium Depth
  • Shape smooth

For wide stereo:

  • Medium Delay + Medium Depth

Quick Reference

  • Sync: sync tempo
  • Installments: speed
  • L/R Pan: basic position
  • Delay (µs): stereowidth
  • Shape: form
  • Depth: breadth
