Auto-Tune
THE'Antares Auto-Tune integrated is the official version of the famous speech correction software, optimized to work in real time and without latency directly inside the pedal board.
Instead of relying on computer plug-ins or dedicated external hardware, singers and guitarist-singers can process their vocals directly on stage or in the studio via the touch screen.
Control Parameters
- Typical range: ~0 – 400 ms
- Function: speed at which the pitch is corrected
Behavior:
- 0–20 ms → “robotic / T-Pain” effect
- 50–150 ms → modern natural
- 200+ ms → almost transparent
The faster → more aggressive (antarestech.com)
- Pitch detection sensitivity (how much "follows" the voice)
- Higher values → more accurate but may “jump” on noisy signals
- Low values → more stable but less responsive
- (Antares standard parameter, present in the VX engine)
- Range: Off → 100%
Function: makes long notes sound natural
Effect:
- 0% → stiff / synthetic effect
- high → maintains natural variations
It mainly acts on sustain (HeadRush)
Allows natural micro-intonations before full correction
- 0% → hard tuning
- high → more “analog” behavior
(Typical Antares parameter included in the engine)
- Key (C, C#, D… B)
Available types:
- Major, Minor
- Melodic / Harmonic Minor
- Modes (Dorian, Phrygian, etc.)
Determine which notes are “correct”
Item type:
- Very Low
- Low
- Mid
- High
- Very High
Used to optimize pitch detection (bass vs soprano)
Reference frequency (default = 440 Hz)
Allows non-standard tuning (e.g. 442 Hz orchestra)
Present in HeadRush global parameters
Activates additional artificial vibrato
Vibrato speed (oscillations per second)
Vibrato amplitude
- 10–30 cents = natural
- 50+ = noticeable effect
Time before the vibrato comes in
Useful for not "dirtying" the attack of the note
Modulate amplitude (volume) instead of pitch
“Pulsation” type effect
- Mic
- instrument
- MIDI key tracking
Possible control via MIDI for key/scale (HeadRush)
