Headrush Vocal FX
Vocal Stutter
Inspired by HeadRush® Original
Divides the signal into rhythmic “steps”.
Repeats audio portions in sequence.
It can sync to BPM or work in milliseconds.
Includes modulations (pan, pitch) + freeze buffer.
Used for:
- EDM/trap/glitch effects
- live build
- creative transitions
Control Parameters
SyncY/N
- ON: synced to tempo (BPM)
- OFF: free values in ms
Determine how “Interval” works
Interval
Pattern base range
- Sync = ON: musical values (1/4, 1/8, 1/16…)
- Sync = OFF: time in milliseconds
defines the “grill” of the stutter
Steps
Number of subdivisions within the range
Behavior:
- a few steps → simple effect
- many steps → complex glitch
More steps = more repetitions
Step Length%
Duration of each step compared to the available space
- low: short cuts (detached)
- 50%: balanced groove
- high: more continuous sound
Control “how much” each slice sounds
Pan Mod%
Automatically modulates the stereo panorama
Effect:
- 0% → mono
- 50% → stereo motion
- 100% → extreme ping-pong
Pitch Mod%
Modulate the pitch of the repetitions
Effect:
- low → slight variation
- high → glitch / tape effect / robotic
Create tonal movement
FreezeY/N
- ON → freezes an audio fragment and repeats it
- OFF → normal stutter behavior
Freeze Decays
Range: ~0 – several seconds
Loop freeze decay duration
Effect:
- short → clean cut
- long → dissolves gradually
Freeze VoldB
Signal volume frozen.
Allows you to emphasize or attenuate the freeze
Mix%
Blend between original signal and stutter
- 0%: dry
- 50%: parallel
- 100%: effect only
Out BusMain / Alt
Effect output routing.
Useful for:
- send separate glitch to mixer
- controlled live effects
