Determines the point at which compression begins:
- Lower (e.g. -30 dB) → more compression
- Higher (e.g. -10 dB) → less compression

Ratio
How much the signal is compressed:
- 2:1 → light
- 4:1 → medium
- 8:1+ → strong
Taller = more flattened
Attackms
Compression activation time:
- Low (1–10 ms) → fast attack → more control
- High (20–50 ms) → let the pick pass

Releasems
Compression release time:
- Bass → more responsive sound
- High → smoother sound
Adjusts the “breathing” of the sound
