The DYN 12 It is inspired by the classic AKG D12 / D112, dynamic microphone designed for:
- Bass drum (kick)
- Bass
- Cabinet with important bass
Main features:
- Sound deep, punchy and powerful
- Emphasis on low frequencies
- Defined but round attack
- “Modern low-end” response
It is the most low-frequency oriented microphone in the HeadRush library

- Low → very present, punchy
- Medium → slightly hollowed
- High → defined but not aggressive
Typical “smiley EQ” (bass + treble, reduced mids)
Attack / dynamics
- Strong but not sharp attack
- Great for palm mutes and heavy riffs
- More controlled than the Dyn57
