The DYN 12 It is inspired by the classic AKG D12 / D112, dynamic microphone designed for:

  • Bass drum (kick)
  • Bass
  • Cabinet with important bass

  • “Modern low-end” response

It is the most low-frequency oriented microphone in the HeadRush library

Frequencies

  • Low → very present, punchy
  • Medium → slightly hollowed
  • High → defined but not aggressive

Typical “smiley EQ” (bass + treble, reduced mids)

Attack / dynamics

  • Strong but not sharp attack
  • Great for palm mutes and heavy riffs
  • More controlled than the Dyn57

Natural compression

  • Average
  • Compact sound
  • “Tight and modern” feel

BEHAVIOR IN THE MIX
