ReValver Cabinets
Jarnmalm 412 (TL)
Inspired by Revalver® Custom 4x12 (Top-Left Speaker)
4x12" Speaker
4x12 European modern cabinet + TL (tight low) voicing therefore:
- basic type Modern Engl / Bogner / Mesa
- with tuning super controlled low-end, fast attack, very definite answer, SOUND CHARACTER, tight and deep bass, controlled mids (minus BR), tall, clean, never "fissy", I play a lot mix-ready, in practice more modern than BR less scooped than BL more balanced than both
Controls
Gain (dB)
Mic volume
- ↑ more output
- ↓ more headroom
Mic Dist (inch)
KEY PARAMETER
- 0–1” → ultra tight
- 1–3” → balance
- >3” → more natural
- this cab -> maintains definition also very close very controllable
Mic Axis (On/Off)
- Hon → attack, definition
- OFF → smoother
- here -> ON very usable less harsh than BR
Low (dB)
- negative → ultra tight
- positive → more body
- already checked -> often 0 is perfect
High (dB)
- negative → less fizz
- positive → more air
- here -> you can boost without problems
Delay (ms)
Signal delay.
- 0 ms → direct
- 1–5 ms → depth
- 5 ms → phase
- useful for -> simulating modern double mic
Ambience (Y/N)
- OFF → close mic
- ON → simulated environment
Amb Level (dB)
- low → natural
- high → ambient
Amb Size (ms)
- 20–40 → tight room
- 40–80 → study
- 80–120 → large
here: useful to avoid too “dry” sound
Suggested Microphones
This cab is:
- very balanced
- very controlled
- very “studio-ready”
- SM57 → defined attack
- MD421 (all) → body + punch
- SM7 (variants) → modern leads
- Rezio → probably the best here
BEST MATCH:
here they add depth making the sound less “digital”
excellent for natural recording
here they work very well and the cab supports the hi-fi
DIFFERENCE: also usable on high gain (rare)
