1x12 combo Peavey ValveKing (closed/semi-open feel) features:

  • more compact than 4x12
  • less “hi-gain” than the 6505
  • more balanced and controlled
  • SOUND CHARACTER
  • low contained but solid
  • mids slightly present (but not Marshall)
  • tall quite clean
  • answer modern but not extreme
  • in practice half between Classic 112 (vintage), 6505 112 (metal)
