4x12 ValveKing with BL voicing (Balanced / modern scooped) therefore:

  • Peavey base (more modern)
  • answer less mid-forward than the BR
  • more oriented towards modern rock / light metal
  • SOUND CHARACTER
  • more bass present and monitored
  • medium more dug (minus Marshall)
  • taller open
  • more answer modern and clean
  • in practice half between ValveKing BR (rock), Peavey 6505 (metal, but softer)

  • Hon → more definition
  • OFF → softer
  • here -> ON very usable less harsh than BR
Low (dB)
  • negative → tighter
  • positive → more body
  • this cab: already good bass → small boosts ok
High (dB)
  • negative → less bright
  • positive → more air
  • here -> you can also boost slightly
Delay (ms)
  • useful for -> simulating modern multi-mic
Ambience (Y/N)
  • OFF → close mic
  • ON → room
Amb Level (dB)
  • low → natural
  • high → ambient
Amb Size (ms)
  • 20–40 → small room
  • 40–80 → study
  • 80–120 → large

  • less mid-heavy
  • more modern
  • SM57 → attack and definition
  • MD421 (variants) → more body
  • SM7 (variants) → lead smooth
  • Rezio → perfect here (modern tone)

BEST MATCH:

here they add warmth and reduce the "clean" character, useful for making the cab more analogue

very effective here and the cab handles hi-fi well

Use: also on high gain (better than BR)
