4x12 ValveKing – TR (Top Right speaker) position relative to BL / BR / TL:
- It does NOT change the cab type
- change the microphoned cone area
- then change frequency response, attack, brilliance, SOUND CHARACTER, more bright and defined, less low-mid than BL, more presence on the highs, more answer “cutting” in the mix, in practice plus version, open, defined, “lead-friendly”

Mic Axis (On/Off)
- Hon → very bright
- OFF → more controlled
- here -> OFF almost mandatory ON only for very sharp sounds
Low (dB)
- negative → tighter
- positive → more body
- this cab: less bass present → you can boost slightly
High (dB)
- negative → less harsh
- positive → more presence
- VERY IMPORTANT -> often -2 / -4 dB
Delay (ms)
- useful for -> giving depth compensating direct sound
Ambience (Y/N)
- OFF → very direct
- ON → more natural
Amb Level (dB)
- low → natural
- high → ambient
Amb Size (ms)
- 20–40 → small room
- 40–80 → study
- 80–120 → large
here: it helps a lot to “soften” the sound

This cab is:
- brilliant

- SM57 → very aggressive
- MD421 (variants) → more balanced
- SM7 (variants) → ideal for checking
- Rezio → modern and precise
BEST MATCH:
here they reduce the highs and make the sound fuller
often the best overall choice
very detailed here and risk sounding too bright
