4x12" Speaker

4x12 Randall style solid-state era (Panther/groove metal) features:

  • low tight but not huge
  • medium scooped
  • high sharp
  • very response aggressive and dry
  • SOUND CHARACTER
  • Very attack
  • Very defined
  • less “full” than a 6505
  • more “chainsaw” / razor tone
  • in practice perfect for groove metal, thrash, fast riffs, palm mute defined

Mic Axis (On/Off)
  • Hon → ultra bright
  • OFF → more controlled
  • here -> OFF almost always ON only for extreme effects
Low (dB)
  • negative → ultra tight
  • positive → more body
  • this cab: not huge bass → small useful boost
High (dB)
  • negative → less harsh
  • positive → more presence
  • VERY IMPORTANT -> often -2 / -5 dB
Delay (ms)
  • useful for -> giving depth compensating dry sound
Ambience (Y/N)
  • OFF → very dry
  • ON → more natural
Amb Level (dB)
  • low → natural
  • high → ambient
Amb Size (ms)
  • 20–40 → tight
  • 40–80 → study
  • 80–120 → large
