KEY PARAMETER on this cab

  • 1–2” → very bright
  • 2–4” → ideal balance
  • >5” → very airy
  • DIFFERENCE -> This cab improves by moving the more natural mic away
Mic Axis (On/Off)
  • Hon → very bright
  • OFF → warmer
  • HERE -> OFF is almost always better ON only for very dark mixes
Low (dB)
  • negative → less boom
  • positive → more body
  • open-back: diffuse bass → don't overdo it
High (dB)
  • negative → less harsh
  • positive → more air
  • VERY IMPORTANT -> it is often necessary to cut slightly (-1 / -3 dB)
Delay (ms)

Signal delay.

  • 0 ms → direct
  • 1–5 ms → depth
  • 5 ms → ambient effect

  • ON → simulated environment

Suggested Microphones

Here the choice of mic is CRITICAL, more than on other cabs because:

on this cab: they smooth the highs and maintain the “chime” without harshness

BEST MATCH: R121= perfect AC30 sound

here: super details risk of high pushes

use: OFF-axis almost mandatory

here they can become too “nasal” or aggressive
