4x12" Speaker
4x12 style Peavey Classic series (American vintage voicing) features:
- more soft and warm of a 6505
- less compressed
- more “woody”
- less aggressive
- SOUND CHARACTER
- low round (not tight)
- warm mids (not aggressive)
- high sweet (not harsh)
- answer more vintage than modern
- in practice half between Fender-style (open feel), Marshall-style (4x12 punch)

VERY IMPORTANT PARAMETER
- 0–1” → more attack
- 1–3” → balance
- >3” → more natural
- this cab -> improves with less “close-mic friendly” distance than the 6505
Mic Axis (On/Off)
- Hon → brighter
- OFF → warmer
- here -> OFF almost always better ON only for more presence
Low (dB)
- negative → less boom
- positive → more body
- this cab: soft bass → watch out for boost
High (dB)
- negative → darker
- positive → more air
- here -> often need boost (+1 / +2)
Delay (ms)
Signal delay.
- useful for -> simulating space/depth
Ambience (Y/N)
- OFF → close mic
- ON → room
Amb Level (dB)
- natural → low
- ambient → high
Amb Size (ms)
- 20–40 → small room
- 40–80 → study
- 80–120 → large
here: it helps a lot to give air
