Gain (dB)
Mic volume
- ↑ more output
- ↓ more headroom
Mic Dist (inch)
CRITICAL PARAMETER
- 1–2” → more definition
- 2–4” → balance
- >4” → very airy
- this cab -> improves a lot with distance too close = “boomy” sound
Mic Axis (On/Off)
- Hon → brighter
- OFF → warmer
- here -> OFF almost always better ON only to recover attack
Low (dB)
- negative → less boom
- positive → huge
- ATTENTION -> already very strong bass often needs to be cut
High (dB)
- negative → darker
- positive → more air
- here -> often need boost (+1 / +3)
Delay (ms)
Signal delay.
- 0 ms → direct
- 1–5 ms → depth
- 5 ms → ambient
- useful for -> simulating real space
Ambience (Y/N)
- OFF → very closed
- ON → natural
Amb Level (dB)
- low → natural
- high → ambient
Amb Size (ms)
- 20–40 → small room
- 40–80 → study
- 80–120 → large
here: improves realism enormously
Suggested Microphones
This cab is:
here they recover definition and give air to the 15"
BEST MATCH:
very natural here and maintain the vintage character
perfect for blues and jazz
less ideal here because the cab is already dark and the dynamics can close too much
Usage: Only for more aggressive sounds
